About Lydia

Lydia Regopoulos is a watercolor and acrylic artist who focuses on capturing the beauty and drama of nature and everyday life. While her day job is in healthcare, painting has been a lifelong interest. Growing up in an artistic and musical family has always been a constant inspiration, causing her to appreciate culture, creativity, and expression in various forms. When she sees the sky turning vivid colors, light bouncing off the lawn, or the lovely curves of flowers, all she thinks of is her next painting. Her art is intended to remind viewers to enjoy their environment and take notice of the visual joys surrounding them, whether a sunny, colorful scene or a moody storm stirring up the ocean. Originally from RI, she currently lives and paints in Cambridge. She is a graduate of Tufts University with a minor in Art History, and has taken drawing and painting courses at various institutions including the School of Visual Arts NYC and the Art Students League of New York.
